From Our Clients

Dustin & Kerri, thank you so much for taking such good care of our beloved Oscar. We could tell that he was well cared for and that meant so much to us. Also, your kind words were very helpful at such a unbelievably difficult time in our lives. Traverse City is truly blessed to have a place that cares so much about the end of our pets lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

“We just wanted to let you know how much your compassion and care in our beloved Angie’s final arrangements are appreciated. We are very grateful that your service is here locally, in the spectrum of services that were available to us, and in the caring atmosphere that you have created for pet owners during their most difficult time. Despite our time of sorrow and grief, we felt blessed that we were able to treat Angie’s passing with the respect and care that she deserved because of your services. Thank you.”

“We are so grateful to the Great Lakes Pet Crematory staff for their compassion and support at the time when we and our beloved lab, Cashew, felt abandoned by the professionals who should have been there for us. After listening to our sad story, Kerri suggested a veterinarian who she felt would understand and respect our wishes.  She was absolutely right.  We will never forget the professionalism of this veterinarian, as well as the responsiveness of the Great Lakes Pet Crematory staff. It is comforting to know that these dedicated people are here to serve our community.  They truly deserve our thanks and recognition for a job well done.”

“Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our dearest “Bubba”. I know that you performed a special “rush” procedure in order to accommodate us picking him up this week. We live in Marquette, and having to go through this in Traverse City was extremely difficult. Thank you for making it a bit more tolerable. The care package for Bubba’s remains is nothing short of Exceptional! Much more beautiful than I ever imagined – and yet; much deserving for such a beautiful part of our Family. Sincere thanks for everything. My husband really wondered if the remains would really be Bubba’s – After seeing the beautiful tribute and all – He knows for sure! Thanks”

“Thank you so very much for your caring and sympathy when we lost our little Sophie on August 10th, 2010.  Due to her spinal cord/bone defect, mobility was an issue, but she was a fighter with a huge heart! She touched our hearts and taught me a little more about love. Not having children, Sophie was my baby and losing her hurt me more than I could’ve imagined. I am so grateful for your kindness and heartfelt sympathy during such a rough time in our lives. I truly appreciated the card and wanted to say thank you so very much! We tell everyone we can just how wonderful you were to us and our little girl, Sophie.”

“Thank you so much for taking care of our Molly. Everyone I told about your services were amazed at the amount of caring and compassion you and your company showed.  The special touches, like the sympathy card or Molly’s paw print, were wonderful and very touching. I wrote a Thank You card to our vet for all her help through Molly’s illness. Along with it I enclosed a note telling her about the wonderful experience we had with your company. I sincerely hope that they offer your services to their other clients who are dealing with the loss of their pets.”

Dear Dustin & Kerri,
“Sharon and I would like to Thank you very much for the timely manner in which you took care of our Snickers. Being from out of town and receiving the call from the vet’s to come and pick up Snickers early really was comforting knowing he was making the trip home with us. Hearing your pet is sick and having to make the decision to put him down was hard. But even harder was the part to leave him laying there knowing he went everywhere with us (even vacations). Snickers was the most spoiled pet who didn’t have a mean bone in his body. If he were to meet you for the first time he would come up for his pat on the head and then leave you alone.”

Again, Thank you.
Sincerely,
Norm & Sharon Hillier, Ontario, Canada

“The loss of our dog Nina was sudden and tragic. Our family appreciates everything you did, from coming to pick her up, to making the paw print and caring for her remains. This has been a difficult time for us, but we were able to find some comfort with your help and services. Thank you so much. Your kindness during such a hard time will not be forgotten. ”

I just wanted to thank you for taking good care of my Tigger.  It came as a shock to me the day he died.  In fact, I still can’t believe it.  Today when I picked up his ashes I knew he was well taken care of by your business.  Thank you so much!  This is a great service you provide.

“The most difficult part of my job as a veterinarian is helping clients deal with the loss of a beloved family pet. Euthanasia is never an easy decision for the pet owner to make. As the owner of a veterinary hospital, it is my job to make sure the process is done in a compassionate, smooth, personal and efficient way. To have a pet crematorium who has our same ideals is of the utmost importance. The staff at Great Lakes Pet Memorial & Crematory go above and beyond to accommodate our hospital. They are courteous, professional, timely and return the remains in a beautiful package for our clients. Our clientele love knowing that we are working side by side with a local and family-owned business. I am proud to know that we are helping to support such a wonderful establishment with a friendly staff, and I love the fact that I never have to worry about what happens with the pet once it leaves our hospital. Thank you Collier family and staff for doing the community such a great service and we truly appreciate all that you do for us here at Northwood.”
